The Black Hills and Other Area Sites

"The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers and cities; but to know someone here and there who thinks and feels with us, and though distant, is close to us in spirit—this makes the earth for us an inhabited garden."

Johann von Goethe

The Black Hills region of South Dakota is a short drive from the Project Site. There are organized "field trips" to several of these sites that have geological or paleontological interest. However, the region is a very beautiful area for vacation or family time. Take advantage of participating in the Dinosaur Research Project to also visit this interesting area.
