In the Drake Paleontology Preparatory Laboratory at Southwestern Adventist University, twelve stations are set up in the rear of the lab. These can accommodate as many as 12 workers simultaneously. In the rear corner of the lab surrounded by a purple sound deadening shroud is a giant vacuum system capable of filtering all of the air in the room in under 2 minutes.The front part of the room is used for teaching laboratories for Physical Geology, Historical Geology, Mineralogy and other subjects.
